Goodguys’ Pacific Northwest Nats … Experience It!
Photos by Bob Roseberry Brian Curtis & David Marin, Story by Bob Roseberry
Puyallup — No matter how early you get to Goodguys, the first thing you notice is cars and people. There’s people lined up to get in, cars lined up to get in, cars parked outside while the owners register, and, inside the fairgrounds cars are already parked, and people are walking around, visiting and checking out the cars. As the day progresses it gets better, in several ways… the weather (usually, well, most times), more people (old friends/new friends) and the cars start moving, which is one of the striking things about Goodguys. With cruising being allowed, encouraged even, there’s an immediate difference from many shows, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to walk to see a lot of cool cars.

There is a downside, however: If you see something you like and it’s on the move, follow, or it may stay one step ahead of you all weekend! We don’t know how many times we saw a cool ride slide by and figured that we’d find it in our “rounds” (see, big time magazine types DO walk!), then never, ever, see it again! Or, just as frustrating, get a so-so picture (bad angle, bad light) of a neat car Friday, then figure to get another, better lit, shot Saturday morning — and the car’s moved — somewhere else on the fairgrounds — where? Good question!

We keep moving, and there’s a good chance we’ll find it eventually. In any event, we mean THIS one, of course, we get to check out lots and lots of really neat iron, and believe it, we get as much of a charge out of them as any of you do. We like the cars, and the people that go with them… that’s the bottom line!

Goodguys, it’s an experience not to be missed!
