Wenatchee Valley Street Rods’ Awesome ‘Apple Run’
Photos & Story by Marlin Lannoye
Wenatchee, Wash. — On June 27 – 29, over 300 of the nicest antique, street rods, and muscle machines west of the Mississippi rolled into Wenatchee’s Confluence State Park to celebrate the 30th Annual Wenatchee Valley Street Rods Apple Run.

From tons of real nice door prizes to a poker walk, adult games, gas pump and mailbox raffles, and a Saturday night poker run around the valley, the participants were kept as busy as they wanted to be.

The guys and gals served up their world-renowned (well, almost) barbecue baron of beef dinner with apple crisp. Door prizes included three automatic transmissions and an almost complete 290 HP 350 GM Crate motor donated by Don Sangster Motors. Also awarded were lots of trophies that were sponsored and picked by businesses throughout central and western Washington.

All in all, if you missed this show you missed a good one. Come next year, have fun, and enjoy yourself in Wenatchee.
