Last issue we talked about “looking forward with great anticipation” to being at the Portland Roadster Show. The thing about “great anticipation” is that you can be setting yourself up for a great disappointment. You know, the show could be real good, but if you’ve “mentally” raised the bar too high, real good could be disappointing. Suffice to say this was not the case with the PRS. The Washington State Hot Rod Hall of Fame returned to the Greater Tacoma Convention Center for the 2015 edition of their Awards Banquet and Induction Ceremony. Six new members were brought into the Hall of Fame, over eight thousand five hundred dollars were raised for the year’s designated charity, Life Enrichments Options of Issaquah (LEO), and scholarships were awarded to eight deserving students in automotive programs at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Pullman, Washington – Road trips! In a 3-week time span we drove to Billings MT, Boise ID then over to Tacoma WA. Not for racing activities but for good reasons and now we have no reason to not make those trips to visit Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington racetracks. Except no money saved up. Oh, and those pesky jobs too, always wanting us on the clock 40+ hours per week. Already tried hitting the boss up for 3 12-hour days so I could roadtrip every weekend but that didn’t fly either…!
