It was a sold out, standing room only extravaganza, beautifully coordinated, smoothly emceed. Obviously, the folks that put together the Washington State Hall of Fame banquet, April 25, at Tacomas La Quinta Inn were thoroughly experienced at hosting car shows and rod runs. Helen Meadows, who seems to have mastered the magic of being in two places at once, was most helpful to the CruZin crew. Read on

So it’s pretty much agreed and accepted that, in the world of gearheads and car shows, half the fun is in getting there, right? At least that was the attitude as we loaded the CruZin’ Woodie Wagon, attached the teardrop trailer and headed for the Chinook Winds Casino Resort about 300 miles down the road for the Surf City Classic Car Weekend, September 19 - 21, 2008. An uneventful start as we cruise onto the ferry, then Interstate 5 South through Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, then a refueling stop in Portland. Read on

When I started all of this car stuff, tire sizes were pretty simple, there just weren’t any choices. I remember the day I took off the H60’s and replaced them with the fattest tires in SoCal…N50’s. Everything was bias ply and the only radial tires were on your dad’s Buick Electra, but none of the gear heads used them. Now there is a staggering array of tire and wheel size and profile choices. Drifters’ ‘Harvest Run’ Rocks Redmond

Redmond, Oreg. — Friday night, August 15, 2008 and the Harvest Run opened with DJ Duke Edwards playing oldies music and entertaining young and old with a variety of games. The Chicken Barbecue drew a great turnout with more than 300 dinners served. A mini- “Cruz” through downtown Redmond finished off the Friday night activities.! Read on
