Drizzle Doesn’t Dampen Cruise Reunion Spirit Photos & Story by Jim & Kathy Peters On April 25, 2009, we attended the “50’s Cruise Reunion” at Camp Rilea just outside of Warrenton, Oregon. The weather turned out to be “interesting”. It was rather cool with an off and on brisk breeeze and about noon we had the first of several showers. But, being our first show of the season, it didn’t seem all that bad.The Cruise Reunion is jointly staged by the Beach Barons and the Lower Columbia River Classics Car Clubs and we’re here to tell you, these guys and gals really know their stuff. We’ve been attending the Cruise Reunion for a number of years and have been continually impressed with the way everything is perfectly organized and goes smooth as silk. There were probably 200 cars at Camp Rilea, including the host cars. It’s hard to believe that the cars keep getting better and better each year, but it sure seems that way to us. They had a poker walk, a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, great raffle items, a live DJ, trophies galore, and several vendors including two food vendors. We really enjoy this show, where fun and hospitality aren’t just words, they’re what goes on. We figured since the weather wasn’t perfect this year, that it will be next year, so come to the coast in 2010 and join us. Don’t forget to check that grrreat CruZin’ calender. ![]() ![]() Home | Club Roster | Calendar | Classifieds | Connections | Archives Subscribe | Advertise | Interact Copyright, 2005.
