Midnight Cruisers Beautiful 'Rainbow Falls Rod Run"
Photos and Story by Jim & Kathy Peters

Chehalis, Wash. — Saturday, May 26, 2007 found us at the Midnight Cruisers’ “Rainbow Falls Rod Run”. Of all the shows we attend, this has to be one of the most beautiful places for a car show. Rainbow Falls State Park has many campsites which would make for a great camping/car show weekend. The park is located on SR6 about 15 miles west of Chehalis with the Chehalis River running through it.

The show is held in a big grassy field amung tall trees. What a way to spend a beautiful day chatting with old friends and making new ones.

This year 240-plus cars were on hand. Being a very laid back show, it’s refreshing in these sometimes chaotic times to sit back, relax, and find that the loudest thing you hear is the laughter of people having a good time. We always enjoy ourselves at this show.

The Midnight Cruisers donate a scholarship to someone going into the automotive field at Grays Harbor College, to the Grays Harbor Food Bank, and, to the State Park. They’re a great group and they put on a great show that includes a poker walk, lunch, door prizes, music, and several trophies. Come see for yourself in 2008.
